Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) corrects nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia for patients 45 and older who do not yet have a need for cataract surgery. This procedure is the same as cataract surgery, however, it is performed before a cataract is developed. In RLE, your surgeon removes your eye’s natural lens and replaces it with a flexible advanced lifestyle lens. With customizable lens options, we can help you choose the option that best fits your lifestyle.
